Is purchasing from A Place for Magic safe?
Security is one of our biggest concerns when shopping online.  To provide you with a fun, safe, shopping environment, we take a few steps to protect your data:

1) We utilize SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) to create an encrypted link between your device and our store.  This link ensures that all data passed between your device and our store remain private and integral. SSL is an industry standard used by millions of websites such as ours to protect your online transaction when shopping or making a purchase.
2) Your encrypted payment information is also passed directly to our payment processor who has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor, and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available.
3) As we don't save or store your payment information, there is no chance for hackers to obtain customer credit card data when shopping on our site.
4) We also encrypt your personal information such as your email and physical address in our store.


What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit/debit cards directly and also accept Paypal.  Sales tax of 8% is also charged for deliveries within California.


When will my order be shipped?
PLEASE NOTE THAT ORDERS PLACED WILL NOT SHIP OUT UNTIL FEB 7TH.

We ship orders everyday the US Postal Service is open (generally Monday through Saturday minus postal holidays),  Orders paid for before 8am PST or 11am EST will ship that same day.


Is the deck shown the version the one I am receiving?
Please note that for many decks, the manufacturer regularly changes the back image of the cards, the box image and card images as well in reprints so depending on the printing version, it may not be the same as what you may see online.  If you are seeking a particular version of a deck, please ask us PRIOR to your purchase as the one we have in stock may be a different version.

Even though every effort has been made to provide accurate descriptions and pictures for all items on sale, mistakes do happen and we cannot be responsible for typographical or illustrative errors that may occur.


How is my order packed?
Unlike certain large online stores with massive warehouses which seem to enjoy tossing your nice book or card deck loosely in a box or padded mailer, we take special care when packaging your items during shipment.  We never use padded mailers to ship card decks and try to limit movement of your item during transit.  In addition, if an item has major dings or dents worse than regular shelf wear, we clearly label them and provide individual pictures for that one item (and normally sold with a special discount!) so you won't have damaged gifts for yourself or friends.  We've seen this with many stores who simply "don't care" enough.
